Today’s memory takes us back to a Wednesday afternoon in December 2021. In our previous memory, we had just climbed to the highest parts of the Swiss Family Treehouse and looked out over the tops of Magic Kingdom before returning to Pecos Bill’s for lunch. After our quick-service meal, we are now ready to take on another Adventureland adventure.
As we leave the restaurant, the Lines App recommends we catch the next showing of Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room. You’ll hear us make our way through Adventureland, ending up just outside the gate for the tiki room. Unfortunately, we just missed the show, but that’s fine as we’ll use the time before the pre-show begins to plan what we want to do with the rest of our day. You’ll hear the music of the queue area and the waterfalls as we wait, eventually broken up by the great Cast Member who uses the time to entertain us and tell us about the Tiki Gods spread around the space before Clyde and Claude come on to set the stage. Then, we’re ushered into the cool air-conditioned theater and excitedly take a seat where we can have a great view of the birds (really there is no bad seat, right?). Once we’re comfortable, it’s time to wake up Jose and get this show rolling.
As the show ends, we will wait until the music stops, head for the door, and back out into the afternoon sun. At least we won’t have to go far for our next adventure.
