Please put on your headphones to fully immerse yourself in another one of my Walt Disney World memories. You will feel as if you are in the Magic Kingdom with us as we slip under the water, and relive the enchanting music and story of our favorite little mermaid.
Today’s memory takes us back to a fun Wednesday evening in December 2021. In our previous memory, we caught the amazing Mickey’s PhilharMagic and were ready to catch our next adventure. The crowds are heading to the castle for the evening fireworks, so it’s not too hard to find our way around Fantasyland. We’ll pass by Belle’s Cottage, Gaston’s Tavern, and the Beast’s Castle as we make our way towards the waterfalls and boat that mark the entrance to the Under the Sea – Journey of The Little Mermaid ride. The posted wait is 15 minutes, but we won’t slow down until we’re under the castle and almost ready to board our clamshell. Since we’re a party of four, we’ll split up into two groups of two. The kids will ride in one car, and the adults will ride in the other. In no time, we’ll be slipping beneath the surf and into the underwater world of Ariel and Sebastian!
As we leave the attraction, we coast up the ramp and find ourselves back in an even emptier Fantasyland. Now the question is do we have enough time to squeeze in one more attraction before the fireworks.
So once again, for that best experience, make sure you are wearing your favorite headphones to really place yourself in this binaural memory.
