Today’s memory kicks off a brand-new day! It’s a gorgeous Thursday morning in December 2021. Epcot opens a tad later, which is fantastic because we stayed up late at the Magic Kingdom yesterday and were so happy to catch some extra Z’s.

We’re joining today’s memory as we’re parking, about an hour before the park opens, and about 30 minutes before the hotel guests get early entry. Our plan this morning is to try and complete Test Track before it starts having issues, and maybe queue up for another top-notch attraction before the rest of the park opens. You’ll hear us zooming from our car, through security, tapping through the tap-stiles, and into the park in record time (we finally figured out how to get through security without having to have everything searched in my backpack).

Just a heads-up, remember in December 2021, Epcot is undergoing major renovations to really revamp the Future World experience, so you might hear the sounds of construction as we make our way to the holding area that serves as the rope drop for the east side of Epcot. You might hear a monorail or two passing overhead as we wait, but eventually, the crowds start to move, and we make our way through the mass of people to the entrance to Test Track. It won’t take long before we’re designing our cars (girls vs boys again) and then pushing on into the loading area.

Somehow, we didn’t have any other riders with us, and the four of us had the car to ourselves! So, we spread out to the four corners where we could get the benefit of the shoulder strap, which is especially noticeable during the breaking at the end. As we exit our vehicle, we’ll hurry through the post-show area, which is already buzzing with people, in hopes that we can stay ahead of the rest of the park guests who are just coming in and heading towards our next attraction.

So once again, for that best experience, make sure you are wearing your favorite headphones to really place yourself in this binaural memory.
