About WDW-Memories

WDW‑Memories has been sharing the sounds and atmosphere of Walt Disney World for decades — long before podcasts were even a thing. What began in the mid‑90s as a small tribute site has grown into an immersive audio experience enjoyed by listeners around the world.

From the early days of MiniDisc recordings and internet radio experiments to the launch of the podcast in 2006, the heart of this project has always been the same: preserve the magic of being in the parks and share it with anyone who needs a little joy in their day.

Each episode places you inside a real moment at Walt Disney World — a ride, a show, a parade, or even a quiet walk through the parks. If you love the feeling of “being there,” you’ll feel right at home.

A Labor of Love

This show has never been about perfection or production schedules. It’s about memories — real, unscripted, and captured in the moment. Episodes are released regularly (about every four weeks), and the entire archive remains available so you can revisit your favorite experiences anytime.

About the Host

I’m Lou, a lifelong Disney fan who’s been recording the parks since the late 90s. Over the years, my gear has evolved — from early MiniDisc setups to modern binaural microphones and portable digital recorders — all with one goal in mind: to make you feel like you’re right there beside me. If you’d like to see how the recording process has changed over time, you can explore the full story on the Behind the Mic page.

What started as a personal passion has become a way to share the magic with a community of listeners who love these parks as much as I do. I’m grateful you’re here, and I hope these memories bring a smile to your day.
