So today’s request came from 2 people.
First was Jason and his family from Ramsey, MN:
Our family (wife and daughter (age 8)) really enjoy listening and reliving the happy memories of our past trips. We especially like the Carousel of Progress memory. We are wondering if you would be willing or able to do a Jungle Cruise memory?
I later received this request from Lottie in Wiltshire, England:
I would like to request a well loved ride for you to release. I really like Jungle Cruise, and the way the tour guides crack their’ own personal jokes that makes the ride that little bit different and special each time. The ride includes lots of fun scenarios that I can never get enough of, and I consider it as one of my most entertaining rides in the whole of WDW. I remember one time when a crazy driver let me control the boat… I was scared silly, but it was really fun!
First off, thank you both for writing in. The Jungle Cruise is a classic attraction, which is one that is made by the captain of your boat. A good captain, and you won’t want to get off. A bad captain, and you’re apt to jump out and just swim back (by the way, I don’t suggest doing that unless you want to see how quickly you can leave the Magic Kingdom). Again, this is another of my favorite attractions, and a must do on every visit to the Magic Kingdom.
Because of my delay in getting this out, I’m going to throw in two memories for the price of one. The first memory came from our great trip to WDW for our anniversary in 2006. It’s a beautiful afternoon and we’ve slipped into a short line to catch a ride on the Jungle Cruise. We are lucky today and get a great skipper named EJ. He does a bunch of the classic jokes, but some of his own hit the mark too. Just listen to the rest of the boat, they’re obviously enjoying it. The second memory came a month later on an overnight trip in January 2007 where we went to the Magic Kingdom for a few hours of fun. This time we’ll get more queue audio, and again we get a skipper who keeps us laughing as he deviates a little more from the script.
