Come and join us for another installment of the WDW-Memories podcast, where I try to make it possible for you relive your Walt Disney World Memories when you can’t actually be there. Today we’ll begin wrapping up our day at the Magic Kingdom and catch one more ride in Fantasyland on Prince Charming Regal Carrousel before heading to the front of the park to watch Wishes.
Well I still love Postseason baseball. the Orioles got knocked out this year, but we’ve still had a great World Series. As of this recording it’s still not decided, but I’m really looking forward to the final matchup. Then I can once again focus on Football. But again, that’s a different hobby. I’m supposed to be talking about Walt Disney World, and today we finally fulfil the wish of our little boy. Today we catch a ride on Prince Charming Regal Carrousel.
So if you remember where we left off, we had just finished riding The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and had just exited out. Traci and I are already thinking our day is coming to an end and what do we want to make sure we catch before finding a spot for the fireworks. At this point, most of the crowds are making their way to Main Street, USA, so lines are extremely short. We split up, she takes the kids and heads for Prince Charming Regal Carrousel, while I double back to find the stroller. I get over and run to get on with her and the kids, who are already finding a beautiful horse to ride. The kids have a blast as they always do. We’ll stay with the memory as we head towards the front of the park to find our spot for the nightly Wishes fireworks show, and catch the tail end of the Celebrate the Magic show on the castle. And this will be where we’ll stop for the memory.
Now, we have much more before we wrap our day at the Magic Kingdom from September 2013. So we’ll need to start thinking about what we do next. Stay tuned to Social Media over the next few weeks if you want to help me decide where we go from here.
Ok, someone help me out here. What is it about a Carrousel that is so amazing. My kids love them! We can’t go into a park anywhere and not try to ride one. I remember from my childhood also loving to ride them. To be honest though, I haven’t been back on the horse in a while. Most of the time right now I spend standing beside my kids making sure they stay on. They’ve gotten big enough though, maybe next time I’ll have to ride and see for myself again. It’s just amazing to me that such a simple thing could be so exciting to them.
I also want to comment on the Celebrate the Magic show. While it looks amazing, I wish there was more to it, and less scary stuff. In the Magic Kingdom, we focus on the whole family, yet for a prolonged period of this show, there is a villains theme where you don’t really showcase happy memories from the park, and I have to shield my children away because they’ll have nightmares. Just my 2 cents, but I wish Disney would find better ways to tell a story then just resorting to a villains section in the middle of a family friendly park.
Now sit back. Relax. Close your eyes. And come with me as we go round and round and up and down on a magnificent family attraction.
