Memory 148 – A Day at Epcot: Part 16, IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth

Illuminations: Reflections of Earth

Come and join us for another installment of the WDW-Memories podcast, where I try to make it possible for you relive your Walt Disney World Memories when you can’t actually be there. We’ll continue our day in Epcot as it’s coming to a close. I could think of no better way to wrap up a day in this park than with fireworks.

Podcast Type: Binaural Audio
Podcast Length: 30:29

I have to admit, I lied… well just a little bit. We are coming to an end of our day in Epcot from March of 2014 and I know what you’re thinking, where do we go next? Well I was thinking about how many Fridays are left in 2015, and from my count I believe I will need 6 more episodes to round out the year, and it just so happens I have a half day trip to Epcot from our trip in January 2015 to use. Since it’s not a full day, I wasn’t sure I would ever get to use it, but I think I’ll end up using it now. So for now, we have 2 memories left from March of 2014, and then we’ll move on to Epcot in January of 2015. I hope that’s alright with you. In the meantime, lets continue with our day in Epcot.

For those just joining us, we’re spending what was a rainy day in Epcot in early March of 2014. It’s Flower and Garden Festival, but the crowds are light (a 3/10 on TouringPlans.com), and the rain from the morning has given way to a beautiful evening. In Memory 147 we laughed through the fun O Canada! Film, and are now getting ready for Illuminations. We’ll join the memory as we’ve just exited the show and are making our way around the promenade towards Morocco. Our friends are in the park, and we’re going to meet up with them in Tangerine Café. I won’t bore you with our catching up, but there is still plenty to hear as we make our way there. We’ll take the family and our friends son outside as we get into place for the start of the fireworks. We get to the railing just as the fireworks are beginning. I end up with my friends kid on one shoulder, and Susie on the other. It makes for a fun commentary on the fireworks.Show Notes and Reviews

It’s fun to listen to the kids as they comment on the show. The things they see and observe. This is probably one of my all time favorite fireworks anywhere, and probably my favorites in Walt Disney World. The soundtrack for this attraction is just amazing, and should not be missed if possible.

Today’s memory is in binaural, so I’d suggest putting those headphones on to fully immerse yourself in the memory.

Now sit back. Relax. Close your eyes. And come with me as we enjoy a top notch fireworks performance.
