Join us now for another installment of the WDW-Memories podcast as we ride another Walt Disney World attraction in the Magic Kingdom. In this memory, we will continue a day spent hopping between the Magic Kingdom and Epcot as we race through the diamond mine from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs on a swaying family coaster.

Podcast Type: Binaural Audio
Podcast Length: 18:59

Well hello and welcome back to the WDW-Memories Podcast. I hope you all are liking this new format. I just thought it was time for a change, and hopefully the shorter format and clearer content will help enhance your listening experience.

I have to talk real quick about the announcements I’ve made on social media, just so that nobody misses anything. I have been ashamed of my consistency with this podcast for years now. As one of the earliest Disney Podcasts still in production, I should be nearing 300 episodes instead of 200. I have also collected hundreds of hours of audio on my trips to the parks, most of which I have yet to share with all of you. And finally, the cost of producing this podcast on my own is going to impact what I can do, and I don’t want to sacrifice the quality you all have come to expect over the years. So I have come up with a plan to help me get more consistent, utilize those amazing archive recordings from places like my Disney Cruise, or trips to Disneyland, or Disney’s California Adventure, or just older trips to Walt Disney World, all while helping to keep the quality I like in my podcast. So I have started a Patron Supporter Group on Patreon, where for a couple of dollars a month, supporters will receive thank you gifts of things like early access to new podcast episodes, attraction only audio (without all the extra talking and ad reads), and even access to bonus episodes that won’t be aired anywhere else utilizing those 400 hours of audio in my archive. So if you’re interested in receiving those special memories, make sure you check out the supporter site at Support.WDW-Memories.net. Now onto today’s memory.

As you’ll remember from last time, it’s a very warm summer morning in September 2017. My family and I just finished riding Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger’s Spin (I was the greatest Junior Space Ranger by the way) and now we’re looking for our next adventure. We’ll join this memory as we’re entering what will be the longest wait of the day. Don’t worry, I’ll skip us all through the line, maybe picking up some interesting sounds as we’re in the queue. After what was about a 45 minute wait for us, we’re finally at the front of the line. This time, I get to ride with Susie. We’ll pair up, step into our holding space at the back of the train, and we’ll be off. The kids loved this, commenting that it might actually be better than Big Thunder Mountain (and well they might be right). Beyond the fun of a coaster, I love the little dark ride section at the end that brings the whole ride together and pays tribute to the classic ride by using some of the original figures from Snow White’s Scary Adventures.

Today’s memory is in binaural once again, so I’d suggest putting those headphones on to fully immerse yourself in the memory.

Now sit back. Relax. Close your eyes. And come with me as we race through the diamond mine from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs on a swaying family coaster.
