Memory 252 – Riding Living with the Land

Well hello and welcome to the WDW-Memories Podcast where together we relive that Walt Disney World Magic. My name is Lou and I’ll once again be your host on this magical adventure.

I hope everyone is having a good start to the new year. The holidays were good, not the same and usual, but still good. We were together and able to celebrate, and that has to count for something. I am looking forward to the future, one where we can travel and gather once again. And one where we can return to Walt Disney World safely. In the meantime, I’m ready for another memory of a trip from a simpler time, so let’s get into it.

For today’s memory, we are continuing our second day in the parks. Our beautiful summer morning is now a hot September afternoon in 2016. If you remember from before Christmas, we had just gotten in another ride on the updated Soarin’ attraction and were just exiting back out onto the main floor. During our earlier meal at The Garden Grill, we promised the kids we’d ride the boat ride for the attraction we were just in, and finally, it’s time to keep that promise. We’ll walk across to the entrance to Living With The Land where there is no line at all, and make our way to the loading area. In mere moments, we’re aboard our boat and coasting through this unique experience.

I personally love the calm and serenity this attraction brings. So much of Walt Disney World is rush-rush, go-go, and here is an attraction that forces you to slow down. The narration is done by a very soothing voice, and the music can be almost meditative. Plus you get to see Mickey-shaped-pumpkins.

Today’s memory is in binaural once again, so I’d suggest putting those headphones on to fully immerse yourself in the memory.
