Take a virtual audio trip in this installment of the WDW-Memories podcast, brought to you in immersive binaural / 3D / spatial sound, experiencing another magical memory from Walt Disney World. In today’s memory, you will join us as we relive when my family got to experience the epic festival party that is Harmonious for the very first time.

As we begin this new memory, I can’t help but think of those like my friend whose trip to Disney World was impacted by Ian. I pray for all of you who were not able to go or were not able to enjoy all the days you planned to enjoy, and hopefully, you will be able to return soon. And for those who have been directly impacted, I pray for you. In the meantime, maybe we can give everyone a virtual escape once again to Epcot when it maybe it is impossible for you to be there.

Today, we are nearing the end of our adventures in Epcot on a beautiful Sunday in December 2021. Night has arrived. The countries are illuminated so beautifully. It’s that perfectly magical Florida winter’s evening in Epcot.

If you remember from Memory 282, things worked out for us and we were able to catch a first ride on the brand new Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. After taking a few photos outside the exit, we still want that sweet treat that we didn’t get before. So we’ll hop in line once again (it’s still wrapped around the building) to get a couple of Crepes. The time is ticking away, and we can order finally, but Harmonious, the new fireworks show is going to start soon. So Traci offers to wait for the crepes while I take the kiddos over to get a spot. We can get a decent view between the France and Japan pavilions, and the kids can push up towards the railing so they can see better. Just after the show begins, Traci arrives with the crepes (which we’ll hold onto till after) and we’ll enjoy our spot, even if it’s a bit loud because we’re so near a speaker. The barges are cool, the lighting is fun, and the music is awesome. All-in-all, it’s a good show. Personally, I think it’s geared to the Epcot festival attendees, who are here for some food and music. It does a great job of creating a party atmosphere. As the music ends, we’ll turn around and find a bench to finally enjoy our now cold treat before we make our way towards the exit.

Today’s memory is in binaural once again, so I would suggest putting those headphones on to fully immerse yourself in the memory.

Now that you have your headphones on, let’s join my family as we relive our first time seeing the new Epcot party created by Harmonious.
