With the focus on 100 years celebration now at Disney, what better way to celebrate that than a projection show in Disney’s Hollywood Studios that does exactly that. It seems like a perfect memory to share today, so let’s get to it.

As we get into today’s memory, you’ll need to imagine it’s now evening on a Monday in December 2021. We are done for the day, our legs are tired, and we are ready to go.

If you remember in Memory 298, Mikey and I just got to ride the Alien Swirling Saucers, completing all the attractions in the park. Normally at this time of day, we would be getting into Fantasmic, but since it’s still not open, we think we are done. I love finishing the day with fireworks, so as we exit and see the crowd sitting in front of the Chinese Theater, I assumed there was a fireworks show maybe going to begin there. I knew there was the Disney Movie Magic show, but what I couldn’t figure out is what kind of show it was. None of the descriptions really came out and said it was a projection show. So after much debate, we decide that it looks like we can sit down and watch, so we find a square of cement and take a seat. Sadly though, as the show begins, people begin to stand up, so we have to stand to see also, but thankfully it’s not a long show. As it ends, it was not what we had hoped for, so when the Pixar show is announced, we’re like “I’m out” and begin heading for the exit. You’ll hear us make our way down Hollywood Boulevard, past the neon lights above the stores, and through the exit. We are parked way off to the right, so we begin walking along the park on the sidewalk when all of a sudden you can hear the sounds of Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. This is one show we couldn’t see, because like Fantasmic, at this point, it had not reopened. It was scheduled for the week after our visit. So we’ll actually get to hear the finale scenes as we walk behind the stage. Finally, we’ll make it to our car, feet sore and tired, and ready to make it to our beds. But we’re excited, because the next day brings the Animal Kingdom, and our first-ever visit to Pandora, so we will have happy dreams, no doubt.

As I said earlier, today’s memory is in binaural once again. So for the best experience, I would recommend putting on your favorite headphones to fully immerse yourself in the memory.

Now that you have your headphones on, join me as we get swept away all over again by these great Disney Movie Magic memories.
