I’m working quickly to try to get this memory out because we’re getting ready to travel out of town for the weekend for a music festival. We love to sing, whistle, and play musical instruments, so of course we can relate to the Seven Dwarves who seem to enjoy whistling while they work too. So let’s catch up with them as they finish their work for the day in their diamond mine.

Today’s memory takes us back to a Wednesday morning in December 2021. As you may recall from our last memory, we have just started our day in the Magic Kingdom, rope-dropping our way in. It seems like many people in front of us also decided to head to the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, which has caused the queue to wrap around the hill and extend near the entrance to Storybook Circus. It takes a moment for the line to start moving, but once it does, we will make quick progress.

We will navigate through the outdoor queues where you will hear the music from the Winny the Pooh ride queue, along with the sounds of birds and fans, before we make it to the covered queue area. Inside, it’s a bit different than usual as most of the interactive elements are still turned off, but at least we have some of the queue music. The pace picks up as we get inside and are sorted quickly before being sent to our designated numbers.

As the train arrives, we climb into the small cars with our backpacks on our laps (which was an interesting experience). Before we are fully settled, we are already off on our adventure.

Unfortunately, the ride ends all too soon, and we have to climb out of the train. But the day is just starting, so where do we want to go next on our Magic Kingdom day.

So again, for that best experience, make sure you are wearing your favorite headphones to really place yourself in this binaural memory.
