Memory 131 – Reliving a day at the Magic Kingdom: Part 22, Kiss Goodnight and Exit

Come and join us for another installment of the WDW-Memories podcast, where I try to make it possible for you relive your Walt Disney World Memories when you can’t actually be there. Today we’ll wrap our day at the Magic Kingdom by catching the Kiss Goodnight in front of the Cinderella’s Castle, then we’ll enjoy the ambient sounds as we quietly exit the park, take the Ferry back to the TTC, and walk back to the car from there.

Podcast Type: Binaural Audio
Podcast Length: 36:03

I trust everyone had a Merry Christmas, and is having a Happy New Year right now. So I thought I’d finish up 2014 with a tidy little bow, and slip in a surprise podcast episode a little early that would clean up all loose ends on our day in the Magic Kingdom, and set us up for new adventures next year. So as a little New Years gift to everyone, here is our final installment of our day in the Magic Kingdom.

For those that have been following along, it is September of 2013. The parks have been very quiet (a 3/10 on TouringPlans.com) and we have taken advantage of every minute we could to enjoy our day in the parks. We’ll join our memory as we’ve now left Peter Pan’s Flight and are putting the kids into the stroller as we begin the long journey from the back of the park in Fantasyland to our car. We’ll get to enjoy ambient sounds as we walk back up through the castle, then down Main Street USA. We’ll make it just through the hub when the music fades and we get to experience the Kiss Goodnight, a wish from our hosts at the Magic Kingdom to all of us as we are exiting. The kids are so tired by now, they are reclining in the stroller and drifting off to sleep. We take our queue and continue up Main Street USA towards the exit. We’ll opt to take the ferry back across, as there is still a long line for the Monorail, and the kids are falling asleep, so we don’t want to have to get them out to colapse the stroller either. Unfortunately, this ends up being a mistake as the Electrical Water Pagent moves in front of the ferry, and we’ll be stuck there while the show goes on in front of us. I’ll play a little of the audio, but there’s really not a lot you can hear from the ferry. Eventually we’ll make it back across the 7 Seas Lagoon and the kids are out. Again, we don’t want to wake them so we walk back to the car from the TTC. Finally after a full day, we’ll load the kids into the car and head for home.

It was an awesome day for the four of us. I can’t say enough good things about taking your children to the Magic Kingdom. Just remember, when you’re tired and your back aches, that you’re building memories. That’s what this is about, and with that mind, you’re in charge of the Memories you create. If you choose to be irritated or frustrated by crowds, then that’s the memory you’ll create. However if you enjoy the sights, the kisses from a princess, the laughter on the actual ride, then that’s the best memory you take with you. I’ve been building memories with my kids now for years, we’ll continue to do so whenever we can, wherever we can.

Today’s memory is in binaural, so I’d suggest putting those headphones on to fully immerse yourself in the memory.

Now sit back. Relax. Close your eyes. And come with me as we end our amazing day in the Magic Kingdom and head for home.
