Come and join us for another installment of the WDW-Memories podcast, where I try to make it possible for you relive your Walt Disney World Memories when you can’t actually be there. Join me today as we wrap up our short day at Epcot with a quick ride as we search for Nemo and then take some time to explore the great exhibits inside the pavilion before exiting Epcot for the day.

So did everyone have a great Thanksgiving here in the United States? And for those of you outside, did you have a good Thursday? It was great here in Kentucky. My dad flew in for the weekend to celebrate the holiday and Mikey’s Birthday. It was a busy few days, but so worth every minute. I love this time of year, and especially love it at Walt Disney World. Christmastime in the resorts is magical, even more so than just regular. Right now, I wish I could be there. So why don’t we escape back virtually through our final Memory from Epcot this year shall we?
Let me set the stage again. It’s a Monday at the end of January 2015, and my whole family has traveled to Orlando for a week vacation to celebrate my Dad’s milestone birthday. The bright and breezy sunny day has given way to a cool calm night. The crowds are light to moderate (a 5/10 on TouringPlans.com) but in this park that still isn’t bad.
In memory 154, we went on a great ride on Test Track with the kids squealing in delight. As we left Test Track, we were deciding which way to head. Should we try to do Soarin’ or maybe something else. The line for Soarin’ was still quite long, so instead of making the kids stand still for a long time this late at night, we decided to just do a simple ride that we knew they would love, so we headed to The Seas with Nemo & Friends. The line is non-existent at this time, so we’ll breeze through the amazing and underutilized queue area, and in no time board our Clammobiles, the boys in one, and the girls in the other. As expected, Mikey is scarred by the Angler Fish, but we make it through and find Nemo without any problems. As we finish, we’ve just about got the entire pavilion to ourselves so we decide to do a little exploring instead. This will be it for our short day in Epcot, so instead of coming back for the exit next memory, I’ll wrap it here and we’ll play the audio out as we exit the park and head back to the car while IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth begins behind us over the lagoon.
I will not be releasing a memory on the 18th next time, but will instead hold off till our special Holiday Video Memory instead, so look for that Christmas Day as usual.
Today’s memory is in binaural, so I’d suggest putting those headphones on to fully immerse yourself in the memory.
Now sit back. Relax. Close your eyes. And come with me as we go search for that silly fish, spend time with some of his friends, and then say goodnight to our short day at Epcot.
