Memory 167 – A Day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Part 11, Farewell DHS

Come and join us for another installment of the WDW-Memories podcast, where I try to make it possible for you relive your Walt Disney World Memories when you can’t actually be there.

Podcast Type: Binaural Audio
Podcast Length: 27:06

Well once again we’re at the end of our day filled with memories in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I know what you’re thinking though, where will we go next? Well don’t worry, I’ve got it covered. A few years ago, remember back in 2012 I got to come to Orlando for a conference. Well on that trip, I was fortunate enough to come down a little early on Sunday, and as soon as I landed, I ran to the hotel and then onto Disney’s Hollywood Studios for an afternoon of fun, so I figured I’d use those memories to continue reliving some time in Disney’s Hollywood Studios with you. But that’s for next time, today, let’s get back to wrapping up our day.

Just like last time, we’re reliving my memories from our most recent trip to Walt Disney World in January of 2015. The beautiful sunny day has given way to a cool evening. Most of the crowds in the park have made their way over to Fantasmic for the final showing of the night or have exited the parks all together. We left off last time as my family and my brothers have left Toy Story Mania, and since the park is closed for the day, it’s time to head for the exit ourselves. The kids are tired, and my dad and sisters family have headed for the condo where we are staying for the week, so instead of staying for Fantasmic like I had hoped, we decided we should pace ourselves and head for home too. We’ll join today’s memory as we’re standing in the new Pixar Place area. The group has made a pit stop before we head for the gate, and we’ll just enjoy some of the ambient sounds as we regroup and begin the walk out.

I truly love this park at night. The glow of the neon lights makes this park seem like something out of a movie, and provides it with a charm like no other. I’m also a huge movie score buff, so being able to enjoy the themes from some of my favorite movies is always a great bonus, especially when the crowds are light and the other noises are minimal. Have you ever just sat on a bench at night in Hollywood Studios and soaked in the beauty?

Today’s memory is in binaural once again, so I’d suggest putting those headphones on to fully immerse yourself in the memory.

Now sit back. Relax. Close your eyes. And come with me as we wrap up our day playing where the movies were once made.
