Well hello and welcome to the WDW-Memories Podcast where together we relive that Walt Disney World Magic. My name is Lou and I’ll once again be your host on this magical adventure. Alright, I’m trying not to get too excited, but Traci and I are putting together a week long trip to Walt Disney World. It’s been a long time since we last spent more than one day in Walt Disney World, and I can’t wait to share all the fun with the kids that we never have time to enjoy while we rushed around the parks. Actually, I’m thinkin I’ll create a series of blog posts about our planning process so that hopefully others can learn from our experiences. So stay tuned here and to our social media for news on that front. In the meantime, let’s get back to our day with one final memory from our day. That’s right it’s the final memory, because after this, the short gets so bad that I loose both microphones for the rest of the trip.
So today, we’ll be continuing our day in August 2018. It’s sunny and warm with a strong breeze now from a storm to our North, but the crowds are lighter today, so at least we aren’t packed into the parks. As you may remember from our previous memory, we just took the kids on Space Mountain for the first time in years, and are going to reconnect with the rest of the family. While we waited to hear back from them, we decided to hop on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover for a quick tour of Tomorrowland. As you’ll remember from last memory, they are doing the Incredible Summer Celebration in Tomorrowland, so there is a DJ and loud music that overwhelms the soundscape in the land, and will be heard almost every time we go outside.
We’ll join the memory as we hang out for a minute in Tomorrowland before deciding to get on the TTA. The queue chains are all up, but don’t need to be. We’ll walk onto the ramp in no time, enjoying the stretch in our calfs as we go up. As we reach the top, we are able to hop in, and I get the kids on either side of me as we ride backwards around the land. We’ll pass through Space Mountain and see the closed exit ramp. We’ll see the characters in the dance party below. But best of all, we’ll get to sit and relax as we cruise around Tomorrowland. Once we exit the ride, our family will re-unite and we head off for our fast pass at Peter Pan, but this is where our day will end because of that short in my microphones.
This attraction is so funny in my mind. It’s an attraction with no big thrills or excitement, yet it’s everyone’s favorite thing to do. It’s completely family friendly, and a fun way to just sit back and enjoy the sights and sounds of the park. For me, it’s so much fun to show the kids what an amazing place Walt Disney World is, and this attraction allows me to do that quickly while enjoying the looks on their faces as they see things for the first time.
Today’s memory is in binaural once again, so I’d suggest putting those headphones on to fully immerse yourself in the memory.
Now join my family as we climb aboard one of the most underrated relaxing attractions and take in the sights and sounds of Tomorrowland and the Incredible Summer Celebration.
