Take a virtual audio trip in this installment of the WDW-Memories podcast as we enjoy more of our magical memories from our first trip aboard the Disney Dream. In this memory, you will let your ears take you aboard this majestic Disney Cruise Line ship as we enjoy our evening entertainment in the Walt Disney Theater and catch the late showing of Disney’s Believe.
Well hello and welcome to the WDW-Memories Podcast where together we relive that Walt Disney World Magic. My name is Lou and I’ll once again be your host on this magical adventure.
So I’ve been watching the Disney community come together on line, finding ways to lift each others spirits as we all cope with the COVID-19 pandemic and are asked to stay home to do our part. But that often leaves us stressed and depressed, and we all could use a new way to escape our four walls. I’ve been loving what Paul Barrie at Window to the Magic is doing right now, and thought to myself, I could step up my game too, and release more frequently maybe, to try to provide another escape to Disney and maybe brighten a day or too. So while I’m not re-releasing older episodes (you can find them all still in your feed) I am going to try to release a little more often as long as I can keep the pace up. Again, I am still sending out my thoughts nad prayers to all of you and your families during these stressful times, and I ask that you do the same for me and my family, and I hope that maybe this episode brings a smile to your face and a little relief to your day.
If you remember from our last memory, we got dressed up in our costumes and headed out to the atrium area to participate in Mickey’s Mouse-querade Party. Today we will get to enjoy one of the great stage show performances onboard the Disney Dream, Disney’s Believe. Each night of the cruise, the cruise line puts on what I would call Broadway Lite stage shows. There are elaborate costumes and stage design (even on a ship), great vocals, but they are usually right around 1 hour in length, so not impossible for your children to sit through. Tonight’s show is Disney’s Believe, a story about a little girl who just wants her daddy to put away his work and make believe with her. It’s a great message to us parents, and sometimes it’s so easy to be worried about work that sometimes we forget to take the time to make those memories with our kids. So we’ll join the memory as we have taken our seats in the balcony, and Carly, our cruise director is about to welcome us to the show. She’ll take the opportunity to tell us about some of the fun we’ll have tomorrow, and then Tinkerbell (a drone I believe) will help her start the show.
Again, these stage shows are spectacular and the whole family will love them. We had members of the group of all ages, and not a single child or adult wanted to miss these shows the whole trip.
Today’s memory is in binaural once again, so I’d suggest putting those headphones on to fully immerse yourself in the memory.
Now join my family as we enjoy our evening entertainment in the Walt Disney Theater and catch the late showing of Disney’s Believe.
