In today’s memory, you will be transported to the parks, and be there with us as we test ourselves to see who is the best shot with our favorite Toy Story characters.
Well, it’s Christmastime officially around our household. The tree is up, the music is on an infinite Christmas loop, and we are enjoying as many holiday concerts as we can squeeze in. I know everyone is talking about the news out of Disney at this point, and it’s hard not to think about the possibilities, but hopefully, it will mean that we can all afford another trip to that happy place to build more core memories with our families. Until then, I am going to enjoy reliving these memories with you, like the one we have today.
To set the memory up, it’s a warm Monday in December 2021. It’s now after lunch, and we’ve had an amazing morning in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, seeing and doing things we’ve never done before. But next, let us do one that we know we enjoy.
If you remember in Memory 290, we got to see the socially distanced version of Beauty & The Beast Live on Stage, and are ready now for another ride. The crowds are in full swing, and it’s looking like we’ll get to do everything we want, so we decide to just pick our next favorite thing and get in line. The sun is warm, so hopefully a line either indoors or in the shade, so we head for the new Toy Story Land and hop in line for Toy Story Mania. The wait was long, close to an hour of regular old boring queues, so we’ll skip most of it. We’ll get to enjoy Mr. Potato Head as he tells stories, sings songs, and cracks jokes. Then we’ll grab our glasses, head up and over the attraction, before we our spots in our car and spin our way into the Midway games created by the Toys. As we finish the attraction, we compare scores (I won of course) before we head out to find our next adventure.
As I said earlier, today’s memory is in binaural once again. So for the best experience, I would recommend putting on your favorite headphones to fully immerse yourself in the memory.
