Take a virtual audio trip in this installment of the WDW-Memories podcast, brought to you in immersive binaural / 3D / spatial sound, experiencing another magical memory from Walt Disney World. In today’s memory, you will be transported to the parks, and be there with us as we laugh at the hilarious show the muppets have put together for us.

It’s just over a week until Christmas, and I’m beginning to panic. I might need to take a couple weeks off from the podcast to be able to focus on the holidays, so I’m apologizing now in advance if I don’t get a show out between Christmas and New Year. But I have a quick one today that I can’t wait to share with you. So let’s jump right in.

To set up the memory, it’s a warm Monday in December 2021. It’s mid-afternoon, and we’ve had an amazing day so far in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, getting to see and do some things we have never done before. Next up though is a family classic, my kids just don’t remember it.

If you remember in Memory 292, Susie was picked as the Rebel Spy on Star Tours, The Adventures Continue. As we exited the attraction, we were not far from the classic Muppet Vision 3D show. I can remember when this first opened and having to wait outside the building as the line wrapped around it. Today though, we walk straight in and miss most of the gags created in the queue. We’ll join the memory as we make our short walk over to the attraction queue area. I take a second to show them the key under the mat before we grab our 3D glasses and go inside the pre-show area. The pre-show is nearly complete, and in just a minute we are ushered into the theater to find a seat. The theater is mostly empty, so we pick a great spot in the middle of our row, towards the front, and take a seat on the soft theater chairs, which feels amazing after a day in long lines. As the lights dim and the show begins, we put on our glasses and sit back to enjoy the show. Once it’s over, it’s back outside into the hot sun, and off to find our next adventure.

As I said earlier, today’s memory is in binaural once again. So for the best experience, I would recommend putting on your favorite headphones to fully immerse yourself in the memory.

Now that you have your headphones on, join me as we watch Muppet Vision 3D for the first time in many years.
