During summer, it can be challenging to maintain a consistent schedule. Our daily routines become unpredictable as we prioritize relaxation and leisure activities. Evenings, weekends, and early mornings, which I usually dedicate to my podcast, become more flexible. Additionally, planning and preparing for travel can be quite time-consuming. Despite our efforts, unexpected events can force us to adjust our plans, such as when traveling to Mt. Everest and encountering a Yeti that requires us to change our route. I think you get where I’m going.

Today’s memory takes us back to a Tuesday morning in December 2021. The skies are slightly gray and overcast as we approached the queue entrance to Expedition Everest. The crowds have considerably increased, creating an atmosphere full of anticipation.

As a reminder from the end of Memory 303, we have been leisurely making our way to Asia and enjoying the morning animal activities in the park. We observed otters playing, tortoises eating, gibbons swinging, and parrots flying around as we walked to our next destination. And now, we have reached the Expedition Everest queue entrance, and we are eagerly anticipating the ride.

We join the line, which snakes along the walkway towards the bridge, and explore the buildings and temples of the Tibetan village. We visit a museum that showcases the yeti, which piqued our curiosity. The sounds of chimes floating through the air help calm our nerves. Eventually, we reach the loading area and notice posters, including one showcasing Mikey’s review of Yeti Tea, which was exciting to see. However, we linger too long and have to rush to our seats at the back of the train.

As the train departs, we delight in the simple journey, traversing the terrain, ascending and descending amidst the trees, and ultimately ascending the hill towards Mt. Everest in the distance. However, our excitement turns to apprehension as we encounter the destruction caused by the fabled Yeti during our thrilling mountain ride.

As we arrived back at the terminal, we were thrilled to have made it through the adventurous ride unscathed. All of us are buzzing with excitement about spotting the elusive Yeti and experiencing the thrilling twists and turns in the dark. We all agree that we wanted to do it again before the day ends, but we were unsure of what to do next. To take a breather, we decide to snack and enjoy the Gibbons’ sights and sounds once again. This marks the end of our memory for today.

So again, for the best experience, make sure to wear your favorite headphones as this is a binaural memory.
