Memory 113 – Reliving a day at the Magic Kingdom: Part 5, Pete’s Silly Sideshow: Meet Minnie and Daisy and Meet Goofy and Donald

** Binaural Audio **
Time: 31:10

Come and join us for another installment of the WDW-Memories podcast, where I try to make it possible for you relive your Walt Disney World Memories when you can’t actually be there.

Ah Spring has finally sprung. The weather is warmer and the Orioles lead the AL east. Granted, they’ve played one game at the time of this recording, but the season has started and I’m excited about how Spring Training went and where we might be headed this year. But this isn’t a baseball podcast, this is a Walt Disney World Memory podcast, and we should get back to our trip from September 2013.

Remember, it’s a quiet day (a 3/10 on TouringPlans.com). In Memory 112, we rode Dumbo The Flying Elephant two times before terrorizing the kids on The Barnstormer. After we finished, we took a quick bathroom break (which I’ll spare you all from joining us) and then we’ll go next door to Pete’s Silly Sideshow to meet Minnie and Daisy first and then we’ll slip back out of line and back in to meet Goofy and Donald.

As our day has been going, there is really almost no line. We park the stroller and enter the queue with the sign only showing a 5 minute wait. Reality is more like a 15 minute wait, but it goes pretty quickly. The air conditioning is wonderful as the day is getting pretty warm, working it’s way up to 90.

Finally it’s our turn to meet Daisy. She is so sweet to the kids and takes a minute to play with them before posing for the camera. Then we slip back into the short line to see Minnie. This takes only a minute before we’re to Minnie, and she takes a few minutes with the kids allowing the kids to play and interact. Then we’re ushered to the exit where we get dumped to, what else, a gift shop.

We’ll work our way back to the queue area and get right back in line for Donald and Goofy. The line is short, and again in no time we’re at the front of the line and it’s our turn to meet Goofy. I’ve been watching him interact with other kids, sitting on the floor with newborns, or playing with the older kids. He is truly a wonderful character. If you were wondering what that odd bird sound is, it was the photopass photographer. Next we meet Donald, and again it’s a quick but fun interaction with him, and we’re done.

I do want to say quickly that this is probably a special thing that often gets dropped off the adult touring plan. The kids are fond of meeting characters, but don’t be afraid of getting time with them if you’re older. These are great photo and group shots that the characters will make special and provide you with memories for the rest of your life.

So, this again will be where we’ll end this memory, and we’ll pick up next time with more fun from the Magic Kingdom.

Today’s memory is in binaural, so I’d suggest putting those headphones on to fully immerse yourself in the memory.

Now sit back. Relax. Close your eyes. And come with me as we create memories with some truly wonderful characters.
