Come and join us for another installment of the WDW-Memories podcast, where I try to make it possible for you relive your Walt Disney World Memories when you can’t actually be there. Join us as we continue our day in Walt Disney World. We’ll pick up as we exit the Tomorrowland Speedway and head over to the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMoover and take a relaxing ride above Tomorrowland.
Well, I have just returned from my 20th High School Reunion. I can’t believe it’s been 20 years since we graduated from High School, and what I can’t believe more is how little everyone has changed. Everyone still looks about the same, we just have kids and more responsibilities. It was so much fun to chat and catch up, and to relive memories from the past, kind of like this podcast. So let’s get back to sharing memories we have of our favorite place and return back to the Magic Kingdom to continue our day there.
We’ll pick back up with our day in the Magic Kingdom as we’re wandering around Tomorrowland. Remember, it’s a quiet day (a 3/10 on TouringPlans.com). In Memory 114, we enjoyed a tasty lunch at the Be Our Guest Restaurant and then caught an exciting ride on the Tomorrowland Speedway. We’ll rejoin the memory as we’ve exited the race track and are heading further into Tomorrowland for more adventures.
With crowds so light, we really can’t go too wrong with any choice, so we decide to head to catch a quiet relaxing ride on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover. We hop on the moving walkway, slip right into our car, and then we’re whisked off on a quick loop around the sky above Tomorrowland. Unfortunately just after leaving the station we are stopped for some reason. You’ll hear the attraction attendant having to remind some kids on the far side of the track to remain seated so they can restart. Finally, we’re off again, only to be stopped one more time. This time it’s even shorter though, and we’re off and running again.
So, this again will be where we’ll end this memory, and we’ll pick up next time with more fun from the Magic Kingdom.
I love the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover for it’s break from the chaos. As you glide quietly and gently above the noise and bustle of Tomorrowland, you can feel your stress melt away. I also enjoy the views of the castle, or of various parts of Tomorrowland. And who doesn’t enjoy a quick peek inside an attraction that you might ride. But mostly it’s the quiet ride.
Today’s memory is in binaural, so I’d suggest putting those headphones on to fully immerse yourself in the memory.
Now sit back. Relax. Close your eyes. And come with me as we relax and glide above Tomorrowland.
