Take a virtual audio trip in this installment of the WDW-Memories podcast, brought to you in immersive binaural sound, experiencing another magical memory from Walt Disney World. In today’s memory, you will join my family as we climb into a race car, and take it for a spin around Tomorrowland.

Well hello and welcome to the WDW-Memories Podcast where together we relive that Walt Disney World Magic. My name is Lou and I’ll once again be your host on this magical adventure.

This time of year in Kentucky is so beautiful. We’re a week away from The Kentucky Derby, and it’s so exciting to have it back in the spring. Even though it won’t be the same yet, the fact that it’s happening is such a big deal around here. I pray that with vaccinations rolling out, you are experiencing some of that feeling of normal once again, a normal that might bring a trip to Walt Disney World. But until then, let’s revisit it in our minds.

The Tomorrowland Speedway is a classic attraction and one every child loves. You get to race a car and actually steer it. My son is all over this attraction, and as soon as we figured out we’d do that next, he was so excited. My daughter however was a little less so and opted to just go do Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor instead. So just judging by my kids you’ll see we don’t agree that it is a must-do, but if the wait is short, I’d say do it.

For today’s memory, we are continuing our second day in the parks on our trip in September of 2016. If you remember from Memory 256, we walked straight onto Dumbo the Flying Elephant and enjoyed a brief flight over Storybook Circus. Once we exited, we got a couple of frozen bananas and began eating them as we made our way to Tomorrowland. Once we make it to Tomorrowland, we’ll split up and Mikey and I will head to the Tomorrowland Speedway. The line isn’t too long, but we’re in stand bye, so we have a bit of a wait, but soon we’re at the front and sent to our spot. Mikey is so excited to do the driving, and he does a pretty good job for a 6-year-old. Once we get off, we’ll head further into Tomorrowland to meet up with the girls and do our next attraction.

Today’s memory is in binaural once again, so I’d suggest putting those headphones on to fully immerse yourself in the memory.

Now that you have your headphones on, let’s join my family as we climb into a speedy racecar, and I let my son take me for a ride.
